Why join?

Post has published by Kearthe

We could give you a list of reasons to join, but ultimately what makes us worth being a part of is really simple.

The people:

Love my M.A.N.s

Despite a somewhat large age difference between me and many of the members of this community. I have been able to find a place where I feel accepted and loved. With the help of many high level rocket league players, I have been able to leap into the competitive scene. This community allows me to also connect and hook up with men to fool around with and play seriously.

What a great group of guys!

This group we call MAN is an incredible group of people that I will never regret joining. Everyone is so accepting and so welcoming here. I’ve had more fun gaming in the last 5 or 6 months with this group than I’ve ever had before and the lack of toxicity and arguing is an incredible change from the normal player bases we all have played with. Thank you MAN!

A Cure for the Common Gamer

I never really enjoyed Rocket League, or most online games for that matter, simply playing alone. Socializing and getting involved in the community and finding individuals I connected with made gaming all the more fun. At the end of the day, I look forward to being a MAN.

MAN made me love gaming!

I used to play Rocket League and other games with a few guys but when they weren’t around I just wouldn’t play.

One day I found Middle Aged Noobs and became a real MAN. The community is amazing. It’s run by admins who are involved and who help create content on a weekly basis. We have well over a thousand members and many who are around, active and great to play with.

I was frustrated with the constant toxic play of many of those I met in other groups. MAN has given me a place to feel comfortable in, a place that accepts me at my skill level and helps me improve and a place to call home.

Love you guys!

Being a part of this place will surely go down as one of the greatest honor’s of my lifetime. Thanks to each and every one of you for being a part of it!

I used to rage……..now I have fun and get drunk with these guys!

I’m a 42 year old that refuses to grow up (mentally). While mentally I still feel young, my reflexes are definitely saying otherwise. Not being able to play like I once could was really getting frustrating for me and turning me off to gaming. I found this place and my entire outlook on gaming has changed. I have more fun here than I’ve ever had gaming. It’s not about how good or bad I play but rather hanging out with a bunch of mature gamers and having a great time.

RobIsNow’s Middle Age Noobs origin story

I joined MAN fairly early on, i was initially just looking for competitive games but what i found was so much better.

Over the years MAN has evolved and has become a very friendly fun loving community that does well to keep itself in check and strives to please its members as best it can. It has come to incorporate multiple games but at its core, there is a strong love for Rocket League and each other.

My best experience with MAN and one that i think shows how good a community it is; was attending the RLCS Season 5 World Championships in London!
That a group of around 20 or so people from across NA and EU all managed to meet up and hang out to watch RL live for a weekend is a massive shout out to how good and nice the people in this community are!

Since LANdons success we have seen the LAN vegas bring out close to 50 members for drinks and rocket league (i believe as sadly i couldnt attend) but ill be damn sure im not missing the next one!

Love this community! <3

MAN is the saying “Friends are the family you choose” applied to online gaming.

Seriously, these guys are the best. I found them via a hot post on /r/RocketLeague, and I’m really glad I did. I was hoping to find teammates to play with. While I did indeed find teammates, I also discovered friends who genuinely care about me.

If you just wanna drop in and play casual RL, they’re not a bad group to have no strings attached with. They’re crazy fun and hysterical to hang out with- but if you’re also looking for real friends, they’re more than up to the job.

Just do it, we’ll probably like you

I joined this community to find some Rocket League players around my skill level because I was tired of solo-queuing, often finding toxic players on my team. I decided to give this group a try and MAN was I surprised! The group was organized, mature, and most importantly welcoming. Being instantly greeted and invited to join in on games was a nice change of pace from other gaming communities I had looked into before. And since the day I’ve joined I’ve met countless cool people and have made friends to play with across multiple games. This is no longer just a Rocket League Group like it used to be, but a platform to find new, mature, fun, and interesting people to share all of our favorite games with. I am glad to have gotten involved with this community when I did so I could see it grow, and now I am just as exited to see where it will be in the future. I am a proud Noob, and you should be too.

I’m in my mid-30s and

I’m in my mid-30s and enjoy playing video games with friends. But my in-person friends don’t seem to like video games that I like. Through M.A.N. I have made dozens of internet buddies who enjoy a wide variety of games.

I can almost always find someone who plays a game I enjoy. There’s a solid range of skill levels: people who just play casual for fun and people who work hard to improve their skills. And somehow those groups all play together nicely.

The M.A.N. community does a great job holding each other accountable. We might joke around with each other, but if someone gets out of line we’ll call each other on it.

Awesome group of chill people!

I’ve been in this community for a couple months now, and despite my age everybody is really nice, helpful, and most importantly, fun to play with! The staff/mods are really nice, if anyone has a problem it usually gets solved in minutes, which is awesome, and very well needed in my opinion. There are also a wide spread of games, all of them having a sub-community (does that even exist?) dedicated to it, and helping new players. Thanks for being awesome! 😉

Not just a Community

MAN made me rediscover my love for gaming. I was at a point where every night when I got home from work I would get on to a game and end up raging or stressing my self out. When I found MAN I was instantly welcomed and felt that I fit right in immediately. Gaming became a stress relief again and I met dozens of wonderful people and created friendships that I am grateful for. The community is well organized, friendly, and like no other that I have been a part of. The staff is not only good at organizing events, moderating, and keeping everything in order, but they are just good people. To sum it up, I would recommend this community to anyone and everyone. I am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful community.
